GDS Recruitment 2019, 4392 posts GDS: India Post

Notification for the post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) cycle- II/2019. Application are invited for the post Gramin Dak Sevak under Odisha Postal Circle. The interested and eligible candidates of the selection and engagement to the following posts of Gramin Dak Seval (GDS).

(i)Branch Post Master (BPM)

(ii)Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM)

(iii)Dak Sevak

Total Vacancy- 4392 posts.

Educational Qualification:

Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10^th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India / State Governments / Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification.

Compulsory Knowlwdge of Local Language:

The candidates should have studied the local language least up to 10^th standard (as compulsory or elective subjects).

Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA):

The following minimum TCRA shall be payable to the categories oif GDS as mentioned in Directorate Order No. 17-31/2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018

Age:

The Minimum and Maximum of age for the purpose of engagement to GDS posts shall be 18 and 40 years repectively as on 15.03.2019. The Upper age limit is relaxable five (05) years for SC / ST, three (03) years for OBC, ten (10) years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), thirteen (13) years for PWD + OBC, fifteen (15) years for Persons with Disabilities + SC/ST.

Basic Computer Training:

The candidates for all approved categories of GDS reffred to in (i) above will be required to furnish Basic Computer Training Course Certificate at least 60 days duration from any Computer Training Institute by Central Government / State Government / Universities / Boards / Private Institutions organisation.

The requirement of basic computer knowlwdge certificate shall be relaxable in case where a candidates has studied computer as a subject in Matriculation or class XII or any higher educational level and in such cases, a separate certificate will not be insisted upon.

Knowlwdge of Cycling:

Knowlwdge of cycling is a pre-requisite condition for all GDS posts. In case of a candidate having knowledge of riding a Scooter or Motor Cycle, that may be considered as knowlwdge of cycling. The candidate has to submit a declaration to this effect.

How to Apply:

Cndidates who desires to apply online will have to register himself / herself in the portal through www.indiapost.gov.in or www.appost.in/gdsonline within15.04.2019, with the following basic details to obtain the Registration Number:

i)Name (In capital letter as per class X Mark sheet)

ii)Father Name

iii)Mobile Number

iv)Date of Birth (DOB)

v)Gender

vi)Community

vii)PH- type of disability

viii)State in which Xth class passed

ix)Board in which Xth passed

x)Year of passing 10^thlevel

xi)Matriculation certificate number / Roll Number (Optional)

Application Fee:

Applicant of category OC/OBC/EWS male candidates should pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred). The candidates who requires to make the payment has to visit any Head Office or other identified Post Offices in India. Name of the offices are available in the website www.appost.in/gdsonline.
